However the Singleton Heights Public School line-up would be denied a ninth straight win when going down to Newport 10-3 in the semi-final.
"We had to beat seven teams in the Hunter and we've achieved that goal especially after defeating Hamilton South," coach Matt Orr told the Singleton Argus prior to the event.

While the line-up was unable to claim the holy grail the Singleton Argus was able to publish their results staring from their opening round encounter with local rival King Street Public School.
