With the Spring Comp nearly a month away it's a great opportunity for new players to come down and have a hit with current members to find out how much fun squash can be. Tuesday nights from 5.30pm or Saturday afternoons from 2pm are the times to come on down for a hit at just $10 per person with equipment provided for new players. The juniors can also look forward to some extra hits over the school holidays with dates to be announced next week and parents could redeem any Active and Creative Kids vouchers with the Muswellbrook Squash Club an approved provider.

Saturday Social Hit
Plenty of energy on the court as players had fun running each other ragged while practicing a range of shots without the pressure of competition. The relaxed atmosphere is ideal for mixing up your game while enjoying a chat in between games.
Sunday Morning Juniors
Ten juniors were ready, willing and able to be put through their paces by Paul "you call that running?" Watson and Adrian "replay!" Barwick with plenty of drills to warmup before splitting into two groups for the round robin matches. In Group 1 Riley held off Justus winning all his matches although Justus had his revenge in a rematch after the round robin. Aiden, Jaxton and Samuel all scored plenty of points to keep the others honest. For Group 2 newcomer Travis didn't take long to get the hang of it, winning all his matches with Jack showing his improvement taking 3 out of his 4 games in only his second outing. Hayley, Evie and Tristan finished off the placings with plenty of effort and ability with every game.

Tuesday Night Social Hit
There was plenty of friendly rivalry with 11 players rotating the courts to get at least 3 games in to keep the blood flowing and the legs pumping. Gaston and Mark relived their Upper Hunter Championship clash with a little less running and more hitting and hoping while Hayden and Paul focused on trying to get the ball past the other. Leanne and Sharon tried the short game from side to side while Gee and Scott used depth and speed to outmaneuver each other. Tim didn't care who he played with as long as he got some endurance back into his legs while Bruce and Drew were happy to mix it up with a blend of depth and drop shots into the tin.
See you on the courts.
